For the many years of my life I have become an observer of people and their actions. In this crazy world we live in, there are many highly educated people and then again we have many people that just don't have any Common Sense. Look closer and you will find many people that will do something without thinking first, no matter what it may be. As for me being an observer, I am the type of person that will speak out and I have also written a few articles on different subject matters like this.

As To Shipping,
I wonder if some people just Don't Think well enough or not at all, OR they just Don't Care how an item is packed.
If this is the case we could only wish that they would use a professional packing & shipping service to insure it's safe arrival.

As much as I hate to say this, but the way some people package an item for shipping, there is no way for them to not get damaged in shipping. There was not enough packing protecting around these track lights to minimize any damage.
I think that UPS will not pay for any damage in shipping once they see how this was packed.

I have a motto, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
In other words, I package an item very safely for shipping and would wish the same from others.
Of all the items I have shipped in the last few years, all has arrived safely and undamaged.

I have been shipping items now and then by UPS and I always make sure there is enough protecting between the item and the box because UPS has always ask me this. To see how I packed an item for shipping, Click Here.

For a few years now I have been selling some Estate items on eBay. My last Estate Sale on eBay was back in August 2003. In November 2002 I sold a set of Lenox Christmas China on eBay. It was packed in 5 boxes and shipped to Florida by UPS. It arrived safely, nothing broke or damaged. The woman was very happy with the eBay purchase.

As a eBay Buyer/Seller, I have a 198 Feedback Score, 100% Positive Feedback record, as of December 2005.

I do wonder if some eBay Seller ever THINK, I don't think so.... hee! hee!
Examples Below

MY QUESTION:
Why start the bid at $9.99 when the SPECIAL tag on the item says $3.00 .... sounds crazy and shipping being over $10.00 ????

eBAY MEMBER REPLY:
The special tag was from the retail store that it sat in for so long unsold. We are giving it a try on eBay now. Since we ship via FedEx and only use new packaging supplies, the cost can be pretty high.

MY REPLY:
Well I do not think anybody is going to bid $9.99 for a starting price when there is Special Tag on it saying $3.00 in the photo. I may be wrong, there may be a dummy out there that might bid.

I wanted to add more to the above but I decided to hold my tongue. I really wanted to also say, "Looks like you are a dummy by putting a photo of the item on eBay with a tag saying $3.00 and asking over 3 times that for a start price".

ANOTHER eBAY SELLER:
There was a Vincent plate on eBay (MOTHER OF JOY) which is not in demand as the other four that were made. They started the bid at $60.00 on a 5 day listing and no bids when it ended. I did advise them that there was another Vincent plate (EVE) on eBay that started the bid at $10.00 and is now at $47.99 with less than 2 days on the auction.

AND ANOTHER SAD THING, many eBay Sellers do not pack an item good enough to make sure it arrives safely and not damaged. I have had a few items arrive damaged. I won a bid on a track light a few years ago. Would you believe that the seller only wrapped it in cardboard with no protected packing. He didn't even take the lights off the track. There was no way it could arrive safely packed like that. All the track lights were damaged After a few Email's and a UPS claim, I did get a full refund. I was just mainly upset having dealt with a dummy that does not need to be selling anything on eBay.

One thing I know, if you really say anything negative as to your opinion, they can get really "pissed-off", so you try to hold your cool.

THEN THERE ARE THE eBAY BUYERS:
There was a Dutch Auction for 5 items of the same software for sale on eBay. You could bid on 1 or all 5.
I placed a bid on just one of the software items which left 4 for the other bidder below me to get since he had wanted all 5. Then he came back and bid over me.
Well I just had to send him a eBay Message because of this
I see that you are a Greedy Prick wanting all 5 software items.
Any poor guy like me has no chance bidding on just one item against you. :(

No reply from him but at the end of the auction he did not win any of them. They went to 5 other Buyers.

Then there are some eBay Bidders that will bid more than an item is worth when they could buy it local for less.
"Oh Well", I guess there are a lot of dummies out there.
I always thought that a auction was to buy an item for a price that was less than the retail price.
