RE: Items I won the bid on eBay
#1.
Received a print in a large envelope that was shaped like an "S" from a side flat view. Opened the envelope and found my print between two thin pieces of cardboard that were wrapped with 2 large rubber bands vertical and 2 horizontal. The rubber bands folded up the cardboard adding some unwanted creases.
Using rubber bands is a NO NO.
#2.
Tape is OK if the cardboard is thick and 2+ inches larger on all sides than the total size of the print.

Well I received the package today, DAMAGED!! (Click here to view Photos) Three sided long Priority Mail box crushed, print now has 3 to 4 creases in it. CAUSE: Poor packaging. Should have been packed in a mailing tube and the mailing tube packed in a 3-sided box with some packaging wrap. (view Photo)
I say this because this is how I ship any Limited Edition prints I sell.
I guess I must now start sending instructions on any item I buy on eBay.
Now this $65.00 print is only worth maybe $20.00 at the most.
Hi, Michael
I'm extremely sorry to learn that the package was crushed, and as a result of this the print damaged. This is the first time in the last five months, since I started doing this, that this has happened. But even once is too often, and I will have to look at other options--such as the one you have perfected. This item was insured with USPS for $65, and I have the USPS insurance form stamped and dated here.

Gallery EXAMPLE:
Packing
procedure of your eBay purchase items
All 3 items are separated
with a sheet of thick white paper between them.
These items are then
rolled up together and then wrapped with a small bubble pack around it.
This is then placed in a heavy stock mailing tube with the items being
stationary.
Then this tube is wrapped in more bubble pack and placed
in a larger mailing tube.
This is a solid wrap with nothing movable to
insure a safe delivery of your items.
I do not know of anyone
that packs any art items this securely.
Once you receive this package,
you will be able to see what I mean.
My shipping and handling procedure is due to past experience from receiving damaged art and other items as well as due to poor packing and not giving a damn if the package is received safely by the sender.
