Vargas, by Reid Austin and Alberto Vargas.  127 pp. (1978)  (Out of Print)
The absolute best for the collector interested in the whole body of Vargas works, and not just the Esquire and Playboy period. The text is also very enlightening, and as an autobiography, it provides more information about Vargas than any other book. The bio information is very helpful, as it narrows down the dates of some images based on where Vargas was living when, and who he was doing work for.

Revised softcover edition published by Bell in 1984.  (Out of Print)
Paperback edition has Shelly Winters cover.

Varga.  The Esquire Years.  A catalogue Raisonne. 176 pp (1987)  (Out of Print)
The largest and highest quality Vargas book.  Heavy stock paper, includes the complete works published in Esquire and the Esquire calendars, including all the Military editions.  Gatefolds (67 illustrations) Calendars (82 illustrations) Military Editions (19 illustrations).  A large collection of other works, although not presented with the quality of the Esquire images.  Several advertising images and magazine covers are reprinted only in this book.  A companion 1988 Calendar was also released the same year.

Varga, (red cover) by Tom Robotham.  128 pp. (1995)
This is the only one of the 3 Robotham books that has images other than Esquire.  It is also the largest, at127 pages.  Note however, there are 2 images that are NOT by Vargas.  (p. 127 by Ben-Hur Baz, and an unknown, possibly Al Moore, on p. 51).  The plates are better quality than the White Robotham book.

Varga, (white cover) by Tom Robotham.  44 pp. (1995)
This book contains only Esquire images.  In the copy I have, the images are very
contrasty, with high color saturation and too light... .a lot of details in the images are washed out.  This may be only a problem with my copy, but I wouldn't bet on it.  It was printed in China, and even the binding and stitching are of poor quality.  The text is unimpressive.  (Out of Print)

Varga, (blue cover) by Tom Robotham.1994- Brompton -Reprint 1996 (112 pp.)

 (Out of Print)

Playboy's Vargas Girls
Playboy (1972)
Note the first edition has images that are omitted from later editions.  The first edition can be distinguished in the paperback printing by the fact the silver title letters are flat, and not embossed/raised.
 (Out of Print)

Soft Cover Book and Hardback Book with paper dust jacket

Vargas, Benedikt Taschen, text by Astrid Conte.  79 pp. (1990).
A very good source for other works... some only being reproduced here.  Especially interesting are the pen and ink sketches, and two oils, one of Anna Mae.  Interestingly, there are almost no Esquire images in this book.
